Indian dating app for marriage

Is Bhava a dating app or a matrimony app?

It’s a matrimony app. It’s also what most people mean when they look for an Indian dating app, as long as the dating is meant to end in a wedding. We call that dating for marriage.

For marriage

Who Bhava is for

Indians, and people of Indian origin, who want to marry: in India and abroad. Everyone is 18 or older.

It’s for anyone who has felt torn between the way their parents found each other and the way their friends meet now. You don’t have to choose.

If you’re after something casual, this is the wrong app, and we’d rather say so here.

Serious dating

What dating for marriage means here

Nobody on Bhava has to guess what the other person wants. Everyone has already said it: marriage.

  • A few people, not a feed

Up to five introductions each evening. No swiping, because there is nothing to swipe through.

  • The Kundali check comes first

Your family would ask anyway. Everyone you’re introduced to is already scored against your birth chart, out of 36. Nobody under 18 is put in your Drop.

  • People check people

No AI picks who you meet. Fixed rules our team wrote do that, and a person on our team checks every photo verification.

Every evening

A day on Bhava

One small Drop, once a day.

  1. Your Drop at 7

Every evening at 7, up to five people, each already matched to your Kundali.

    Seven with Plus

  2. The score, and why

Each one comes with a score out of 36 from the eight Ashtakoota checks, explained in plain words. We show it so you understand the number instead of being handed one. If there’s a dosha, we say so.

    Guna Milan, done for you

  3. Yes, or not for me

Look at each person properly and decide. Then the Drop ends until tomorrow.

    No endless swiping

  4. A chat when you both say yes

A chat opens only when you both say yes. It comes with prompts, and all eight checks explained.

Optional

Family, on your terms

In our culture a marriage has always brought two families together, not just two people. So family has a place on Bhava, and you decide when.

Invite a parent or sibling and they get their own view: your matches, the scores, and private notes for you. They can’t message anyone or read your chats, and you can remove them any time.

A parent reading this? There’s a page for parents, written for you.

City by city

Cities open one by one

Introductions only work when there are enough people on both sides nearby. So we open a city when its list can support a few good matches every evening, not before.

Yours may not be open yet. Check it, and join its list if it isn’t. Everyone on the list hears the day it opens.

FAQ

Questions people ask

Is Bhava for casual dating?

No. Bhava is made for marriage: the whole app is built around finding a life partner. Serious dating, if you like.

Do I need to believe in astrology?

No. Every introduction comes with its Kundali score, but how much weight you give it is up to you. Many people use it the way their family would, as one signal among many.

Is Bhava for Indians in the US and abroad?

Yes. In India, and NRI families in the US, Canada, the UK, the Gulf and beyond. Your Kundali is worked out from your date, time and place of birth, wherever that was.

Do my parents have to be involved?

No. Family joins only if you invite them, and they never see your chats.

What does it cost?

Bhava is free on iPhone and Android. Bhava Plus is an optional subscription, and its price is shown in the app.
