For parents
Looking for a rishta for your daughter?
Bhava is a matrimony app with Kundali matching, and parents get their own view. You can start first: send your daughter an invite on WhatsApp. Once she joins, you see her matches, each scored out of 36, and leave notes only she sees. She decides. You never message anyone.
On iPhone and Android. Or join your city’s list first.

Your own view
Help the way families always have
A calm parents’ view with bigger, easier type: your daughter’s matches, the Kundali for each one, and a private line to her. Your own login, on your own phone.
See her matches
Everyone she’s matched with, plus the people she liked who haven’t answered yet. Photos, family, education and work, with the Kundali for each. Never their birth details or contact details.
The full Kundali, for each one
Every match is scored out of 36 on all eight kootas, in plain words. Nadi, Bhakoot and Manglik dosha are always flagged.
Check a rishta from WhatsApp
A proposal came through a relative? Enter the birth details and see the score against her chart in seconds. Nothing is saved unless you suggest them.
Private notes, only for her
Leave a note on any match: “We like them”, “We have a concern”, “We know the family”, “Take it forward”. Only she sees it. The person it’s about never does.
Suggest someone you know
A family friend or a relative’s referral goes to her as your suggestion, with the score. She decides whether to look further.
Her week, at a glance
New matches and their scores, likes waiting, how your suggestions went. Helping more than one child? Switch between them.
What parents can never do
- Message anyone, or read her chats. You see who she matched with, never what they say.
- Like, pass or act as her. There are no such buttons in the parents’ view.
- See who liked her, or anyone’s phone number or contact details.
- Browse other profiles. You only see her matches and the people she liked.
She decides
Your daughter makes her own profile and chooses who to say yes to. She can remove a family member any time, from You › Family.
One family member is free. With her Bhava Plus, up to five: both parents, a sibling, a masi.
How to start
Two ways in. Both take a few minutes.
A family account is always linked to the son or daughter it helps. Either she invites you, or you start first and invite her.
She sends you a code
The quickest way in.
- She opens You › Family › Invite in her app and sends you an 8-letter family code (it lasts 7 days).
- You download Bhava and tap “I’m helping my child or sibling find a partner”.
- Verify your phone, tell us a little about you, enter the code. You agree to four promises, and you’re in.
You start first
Sign up yourself, then send your daughter a link. When she joins with it, you’re linked automatically. No code to type.
- Download Bhava, tap “I’m helping my child or sibling find a partner” and verify your phone.
- At “Your child’s code”, tap “My child isn’t on Bhava yet”.
- Send the invite on WhatsApp. She makes her own profile; you see her matches once she’s in.
Mummy9:41 pm ✓✓
The invite is open for 24 hours. A family account needs a child linked, so if she hasn’t joined by then, your account closes. You can send it again from the app, or sign up again and start over.
- When she joinsYou get a notification: “Priya joined. You’re linked.” Her matches appear in your view.
- She sees it too“Your mother can see your matches and leave you notes, but can’t message anyone.”
- Helping two children?Add another with “Help another child” and switch between them.
What stays private
Safe for your daughter. Built that way.
The parents’ view is there to help, never to watch. These hold for every family on Bhava, including yours.
- CHATS
Family never reads chats
Only the two people in a chat can read it. A chat opens only when both say yes.
- CONTACT
No numbers on profiles
Phone numbers aren’t on profiles, and a number guard hides them in chat until she chooses to share.
- BIRTH DETAILS
Never shown to others
Birth date, time and place are only used for the score. Other members and families never see them.
- NOTES
Your notes are for her only
Only your daughter sees what you write. The other person, and their family, never do.
- PEOPLE
Checks we do
18+ only and made for marriage. Every member verifies a phone number, and a person on our team checks each selfie verification.
- PROFILES
No sharing other profiles
You can read her matches’ profiles in the app, but not export or forward them. Report or block anyone from their page.
Four promises every parent makes
Before a family account is made, each parent agrees to these. The family role only works when they hold.
- I will respect their autonomy.
- I will not contact matches directly outside the app.
- I will not share profile information with people who aren’t in our family.
- I will use Bhava to support — not to pressure.
The score, simply
36 points, eight checks, no surprises
The Ashtakoota system your pandit uses, worked out from both birth charts. Every introduction already has it, and nobody under 18 of 36 is introduced.
- Nadi8/8Health and children
- Bhakoot7/7Family welfare and prosperity
- Gana6/6Temperament
- Graha Maitri1/5Friendship and understanding
- Yoni2/4Comfort and closeness
- Tara3/3Wellbeing and fortune
- Vashya1/2Mutual pull and support
- Varna0/1Outlook and values
What the total means
The eight checks add up to 36. A higher total means more of them line up.
- Under 18Never introduced
- 18–24Good match
- 25–32Strong match
- 33–36Excellent match
Doshas are always flagged
Even when the total is high, we show these plainly, so you can talk them through at home or with your pandit.
- Nadi dosha
- Bhakoot dosha
- Manglik
One signal, not a verdict
A score can’t promise a good marriage, and a lower one doesn’t mean a bad match. It’s one thing families look at, next to the person, the family, and how the two of them get on.
City by city
Her profile helps her city open
Bhava opens one city at a time, when enough women there have finished their profile and passed the selfie check. Women are never put on a waiting list: when your daughter finishes her profile, she counts towards opening her city. Until it opens, introductions can be few.
- Women finish their profilesProfile, Kundali and a selfie checked by a person.
- The city opensMembers waiting there get a push and an email.
- Introductions every evening at 7Up to five a day, each already scored out of 36.
Questions parents ask
Straight answers
Can I join Bhava without my daughter?
You can start first, but not stay without her. A family account is always linked to the son or daughter it helps. Sign up, send her the invite link, and you’re linked when she joins. The invite is open for 24 hours; if she hasn’t joined by then, the account closes and you can start again.
Can I make a profile for her?
No. Your daughter makes her own profile, with her own photos, a selfie check and her birth details. It’s her search; you’re there to help.
Can I see her chats, or message her matches?
No. Chats are only for the two people in them. You see who she’s matched with and their Kundali, never what they say, and you can’t message anyone on Bhava.
Can I see everyone who liked her?
No. You see her matches and the people she liked who haven’t answered yet. Who liked her stays with her.
Can I look for matches myself?
Not by browsing. Bhava does the introducing: up to five people an evening for your daughter, each already scored. What you can do: check a rishta that reached you on WhatsApp against her chart, and suggest people you know to her.
Is it safe for my daughter?
Bhava is 18+ and made for marriage, whether your daughter calls it dating or matrimony. Everyone verifies a phone number, a person on our team checks each selfie verification, phone numbers aren’t on profiles, and a chat only opens when both say yes. She can report or block anyone, pause her profile or leave any time.
What does it cost?
Bhava is free to use, and one family member is free. Bhava Plus is her optional subscription: up to seven introductions a day, up to five family members, and more. The price is shown in the app.
Do we need exact birth times?
The time on the birth certificate is best. If you only know it roughly, use your best guess: most of the score comes from the Moon, which changes slowly through the day.
Is there an Android app?
Yes. Bhava is on Google Play for Android and on the App Store for iPhone, with the same parents’ view on both.
