Child safety standards

Effective Date: October 4, 2026 · Bhava, a product of Sphnix, Inc.

Bhava is for adults only

Bhava is a matrimony app for adults looking for a life partner. You must be 18 or older to have a Bhava account. We check the date of birth at sign-up and do not create a profile for anyone under 18. Family members who help a son or daughter search use a separate family account and never see anyone who is not an adult member.

Zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation

Bhava prohibits any content or behaviour that sexually exploits or endangers children. This includes:

  • child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind, including drawn, edited or AI-generated images;
  • sexualising a minor, or asking for, sharing or linking to such material;
  • grooming, or contacting or arranging to meet a minor;
  • trafficking or sextortion of a minor;
  • using Bhava while under 18, or creating a profile for someone under 18.

Breaking this rule ends the account at once and permanently.

How to report

  • In the app: open the person's profile or your chat with them, tap the menu, then Report. Reports go straight to Bhava's safety team. You can also block the person from the same menu.
  • By email: safety@bhavapp.com, with the person's name and what you saw. You don't need a Bhava account to report.
  • If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police first.

What we do with a report

  • We review child-safety reports first, as soon as they arrive.
  • We remove the content and suspend the account while we look into it, and ban it permanently when the report is confirmed.
  • We report apparent child sexual abuse material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and cooperate with law enforcement in the United States, India and elsewhere, as the law requires.
  • We keep the evidence the law requires us to keep for investigators, and nothing more.
